Privacy Policy

1. Overview & Data Controller

Flippy Frog ("the App", bundle/package ID com.haip.flippyfrog) is developed and published by Haip AS ("we", "us", or "our"), registered in Norway (Org. no. 935 829 380). We respect your privacy and collect only the minimal data required to operate the game, validate optional subscriptions, serve optional rewarded video ads, and improve gameplay stability.

No Account Creation Required: Flippy Frog does not require you to register an account, log in, or provide your name, email address, phone number, or precise GPS location to play.

2. On-Device Data Storage

Your high scores, unlocked frog skins, daily and weekly objective progress, and audio/haptic preferences are stored locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage). You can clear this local data at any time via Settings → Reset Progress inside the App or by uninstalling the App.

3. In-App Subscriptions & Purchases (Apple, Google & RevenueCat)

Flippy Frog offers an optional auto-renewing monthly subscription called Flippy Pass. All payment transactions are processed directly by Apple (App Store) on iOS or Google (Google Play) on Android. Haip AS never receives, processes, or stores your credit card, bank account, or billing details.

We use RevenueCat (revenuecat.com/privacy) to validate purchase receipts and manage subscription entitlements across sessions using an anonymous app user identifier and store transaction receipts.

4. Rewarded Video Advertising (Google AdMob)

If you do not have an active Flippy Pass subscription, you may choose to watch optional rewarded video ads (for example, to revive your frog once per run, double coins, or skip a daily objective). Rewarded video ads are served by Google AdMob (policies.google.com/privacy).

Depending on your device permissions and regional consent settings, Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID on Android or IDFA on iOS when authorized), coarse IP-based location (country/region), device diagnostics, and ad interaction events (ad impressions, clicks, and reward completions) for ad delivery, frequency capping, analytics, and fraud prevention. Subscribing to Flippy Pass disables advertisements in the App.

5. Anonymous Gameplay Analytics (PostHog EU)

We collect anonymous product and gameplay telemetry—such as islands reached, runs completed, objectives finished, paywall/ad funnel events, and app stability diagnostics—processed via PostHog Cloud EU hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany, eu.i.posthog.com). This telemetry is associated only with a random installation identifier, does not personally identify you, and is used solely to balance game difficulty and fix bugs.

6. Local Push Notifications

Flippy Frog schedules optional local notifications directly on your device (such as daily objective reminders). No remote push notification token is transmitted to or stored on our servers. You can disable notifications at any time in the in-game Settings menu or in your device's system notification settings.

7. Legal Basis & Children's Privacy

Under the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process anonymous analytics and stability diagnostics under legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to maintain a functional, balanced game, and process subscription receipts to fulfill our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA) & Contact

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to request access to, correction of, restriction of, or deletion of data associated with your anonymous app identifier, as well as the right to object to processing. You can also reset your advertising identifier in your iOS or Android system settings, or uninstall the App to remove all local data.
